Support products

Underground tree supporting is usually a recommended method. Sometimes, however, supporting a tree above ground is the most affordable option. The size and location of the tree and the likelihood of damages caused by vandalism and wind must be taken into account.

Milford’s selection includes the following support products:

• Binding harness, made with 100% polyester, is the usual strap for pole binding. Available are also compatible spacer pieces of black rubber.

• Reinforced rubber strap which is to be used with the compatible spacers to avoid bark damage. 

• Sustain+ burlap strap is environmentally friendly and 100% biodegradable. It degrades as the tree establishes a solid root system.

• Sustain+ coir string - an alternative to the burlap strap, well suited for smaller trees. 100% biodegradable.
